DJI has announced a new version of one of its professional drones for aerial cinematography, and in it we find a whole battery of novelties and improvements compared to its predecessor that well they must justify the price of $16,499 that DJI asks for each unit of these drones.
No wonder, since the centerpiece of the Inspire 3 is a Zenmuse X9-8K sensor capable of record video at 8K 25fps in CinemaDNG, as well as 8K 75FPS in Apple ProRes RAW. Additionally, you can record at 4K 120FPS without image cropping, all with cinema-level quality.
As for the drone, we find a new redesigned chassis with carbon fiber parts and a top speed of 94km/h, with maximum ascent and descent speeds of 8 and 10 meters per second respectively.
All this is done through the DJI RC Plus controller, a command through which we can see what the drone sees at a distance of up to 15km, which is reduced to 12km if we use the double control mode (piloting and gimbal control). It should be noted that the price includes all the necessary accessories to work, plus 6 batteries, spare parts for the drone and a 1TB SSD unit.
