Graphics card prices have risen considerably in recent years. When it seemed that they were giving us a break, the lack of stock suffered by this component made generations like the RTX 30 or the RX 6000, which were going to be somewhat cheaper than their predecessors, much more expensive or difficult to find. The new generations RTX 40 and RX 7000 they came on the market with considerably higher prices, but it seems that the trend is beginning to relax.
The most powerful AMD GPU currently is the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, a graphics card based on the RDNA 3 architecture and launched internationally for $999 on reference design models. Manufacturers were quick to launch custom models with a higher price tag. For example, at GEEKNETIC we have analyzed a model that was close to 1,500 euros.
Now the ASRock Phantom Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX has become the first custom RX 7900 XTX under $1,000, being able to find for less price than the reference model. In fact, in stores like newegg can be seen by $959.99 from the $1,119 it cost at launch.
At the moment in Spain it is still around 1,200-1,400 euros, but it is to be expected that it will drop to figures of around 1,000 euros.
