cyberpunk 2077 It has had a significant amount of content designed for this game that has not finally reached the final version due to quality issues, although it is currently awaiting the arrival of its Phantom Liberty expansion to expand its story.
Cyberpunk 2077 hit the market in December 2020 with a premiere marked by the numerous bugs reported by players in the versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A few days later he announced a series of patches and updates with which he promised to fix “the most prominent issues” and give a better gaming experience. closer to what it did offer on next-generation consoles and PC.
Regardless of how good it arrived, the game could have had more content than it offers, but there are reasons why some content was dropped, as Cyberpunk 2077 quest designer Pawel Sasko explained in a post. direct on Twitch.
“When things are lacking and the quality is not there, sometimes you just look at the idea and [compruebas que] the potential of the idea is not there”, commented Sasko, who pointed out that it is something that he always tries to explain to the players and the press, since “when you are creating a game, your responsibility as a designer is to make all those decisions about what is really interesting for your game”.
For this reason, above all, Sasko has made it clear that “discarded content is not used for a reason”. Although it is about “nine out of ten missions, locations or gameplay features”.
On the other hand, the mission designer has preferred not to comment on the new content of this title, claiming that he “had no knowledge” about it, since it is the work of other departments.
According to the roadmap of the developer itself, CD Projekt Red, this year the expansion will arrive Phantom Liberty, that will bring Solomon Reed, the character played by the actor Idris Elba, and a mission of espionage and survival. And they’re also working on a sequel, known for the moment under the internal name Project Orion, which will “demonstrate the full power and potential of the Cyberpunk universe.”
