Microsoft pushes the gas pedal further with AI and brings Bing Chat to Android with SwiftKey

It is curious to think that just a few months ago we were unaware of the existence of Bing Chat or ChatGPT and now these AI-powered chatbots They have become an almost daily tool for millions of people.

As if that were not enough, everything seems to indicate that the presence of this type of application will continue to expand. Google is preparing to launch Bard in the search engine and Microsoft continues to roll out Bing Chat.

Bing Chat now also on SwiftKey

Currently, the Redmond chatbot is present on the Bing website, in the edge browser and in the search engine application for mobile devices. To these possibilities we have just added that of being able to use it from almost any application.

Since 2016, Microsoft has owned SwiftKey, the famous keyboard for Android and iOS that has more than a decade of history and is used by millions of users around the world (although in recent times it seems to have lost popularity). The company’s idea was to put Bing Chat on this keyboard.

Starting today, users of the beta version of Microsoft SwiftKey for Android can use the conversational chatbot directly from the keyboardan addition that coexists with others such as the search for GIF, stickers and the integrated translator.

Once the app is downloaded and installed, they will need to sign in with a Microsoft account to start using Bing Chat. Then, by touching the search engine logo, they will have three options: Search, Tone and Chat.

Search fulfills the function of an integrated search engine, something like what we can find in the Google Gboard. tone lets generate messages according to the text entered, something that can help us in our WhatsApp conversations. Chat is the classic Bing Chat that we already know.

It should be noted that, as its name indicates, this is a developing version of the application, so it may fail. SwiftKey for iOS has not been updated with this feature at this time. We’ll have to wait and see if it also gets Bing Chat.
