Microsoft brings Bing Chat to SwiftKey keyboard on Android

Bing

Microsoft is implementing its AI-powered Bing chatbot into its SwiftKey keyboard app for devices Android. According to Microsoft CTO of Commerce and Mobile, Pedram Rezaei, the latest beta version of the popular keyboard for Android is integrating the experience of this chatbot for everyone to enjoy.

The integration appears as a Bing button on the left side of the command bar—as you can see in the image below—above the keyboard keys, which provides access to the search, ringtone, and chat experience.

The ‘Search’ option, as its name suggests, allows you to search the web for any information you need. The ‘Tone’ option allows you to add text that the chatbot will rewrite for you using one of the 3 available tones. And the ‘Chat’ option gives you access to Bing chat as if you were using the mobile application of the chatbot.

As you already know, Bing chat has already been providing those services through the Bing app and through web browsers; however, the new SwiftKey keyboard integration allows users to easily access the chatbot for help as long as the keyboard is enabled in the chatbot’s settings. smartphone.

The Bing chatbot is available for the SwiftKey keyboard although there is a catch

As mentioned before, this one is only available for Android and not for iOS, so iPhone users are left out of the equation, at least for now. Microsoft hasn’t confirmed when the SwiftKey iOS app will get the same feature, though it’s expected to be soon.

Regarding its use, its CTO has confirmed that its implementation is being carried out gradually, so it is possible that you still cannot enjoy it on your smartphone.

You can test if it is available Bing Chat for you by downloading the app from the Google Play Store or by updating the app if you already have it installed. As explained above, you may not have access to the Bing chatbot yet as it is still being rolled out. However, once it is available, it’s easy to start using it right from the keyboard and the truth is that it is presented as a great solution and use within applications such as WhatsApp.
