The proposal of the Latin American countries also includes the creation of a working group made up of a representative from each country to take cooperation measures in the area of chemical and organic fertilizers.
This working group will be able to work on an action plan to adopt measures that facilitate trade for basic consumer products.
The group should make recommendations for the adoption of measures to improve the efficiency of the entry and exit of products through ports and borders, and the exchange of intermediate inputs, machinery and technology for the benefit of agricultural productivity.
The Mexican government added that on May 6 and 7 there will be a meeting between business, agricultural and peasant sectors as well as governments in Cancun.
