During February 2023, oil production in Colombia was 757,339 barrels per day (bpd), an increase of 2.29 percent if compared to that registered in the same month last year (740,358 bpd), as reported by the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH).

But if the comparison is made with last January, daily oil production registered a decrease of 2.15 percentsince in that month 773,565 bpd were reported
The decrease in production occurred mainly in the Andina fields
(Tame, Arauca), Capella (La Macarena, Meta), Quifa, Pendare, Hamaca, Caño Sur Este (Puerto Gaitán, Meta) and Capachos (Tame, Arauca), due to the blockades and public order problems that have occurred in Meta and Arauca.
Meanwhile, the production average gas during February 2023 was 1,081 million cubic feet per day (mpcd), increased 0.22 percent compared to the same month in 2022 (1,078 mpcd).

Compared to January 2023, when gas production was 1,020 mcfd, an increase of 5.98 percent was registered in the second month of this year.
This behavior is due to an increase in gas sold, mainly in the Clarinete (Aguachica/Gamarra, Cesar), Sucumbíos (Ipiales, Nariño), Aguas Vivas (Sahagún, Córdoba), Istanbul (Riohacha, La Guajira), La Belleza ( Plato, Magdalena) and Bullerengue (Sabanalarga, Atlántico).
The ANH also reported that during February 2023 two discovery notices were reported in the Yoda A-1 and Fresa-1 wellswithin the framework of contracts YD-SN-1 and VIM-21, respectively.

In addition, four exploratory wells and 51 development wells were drilled. Regarding the acquisition of exploratory seismic, during the second month of the year, 162.74 kilometers were acquired.
