4 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The United States has announced this Tuesday a new military aid package for Ukraine, valued at 2.6 billion dollars, it is already the thirty-fifth withdrawal of funds from the Department of Defense by the Biden Administration for this country since August 2021

This last fund includes a presidential allocation to the Pentagon of 500 million dollars and another 2.1 billion from the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), with which the United States delivers military equipment directly from its industry instead of the material it retires from the Pentagon.

Ukraine will receive, for example, ammunition for the Patriot air defense systems and for the missile launcher systems known as HIMARS, as well as different calibers for all types of weapons, grenade launchers, or military vehicles, such as trailers, tankers, details the Pentagon.

“The United States will continue to work with its allies and partners to provide Ukraine with the ability to meet its immediate battlefield needs and longer-term security assistance requirements,” Washington concluded in a statement.
