The passage of ‘Freddy’ through Malawian territory in mid-March has caused enormous damage in 14 affected municipalities: Balaka, Blantyre and Blantyre capital, Chikwawa, Chiradzulu, Machinga, Mangochi, Mulanje, Neno, Nsanje, Phalombe, Thyolo, Zomba and Zomba capital.

This call to strengthen financial donations to Malawi is added to the one already formulated at the beginning of the year, when another more than 45 million dollars (more than 41.5 million euros) were requested to be able to provide a response to the health crisis due to an outbreak cholera, the deadliest in the country’s history.
