( Spanish) — Juan Carlos Holguín presented his resignation as Ecuador’s Minister of Foreign Affairs this Saturday.
In a letter addressed to President Guillermo Lasso that was shared on his Twitter accountHolguín expressed that the decision is due to personal reasons.
Lasso, for his part, lamented Holguín’s resignation on his Twitter account and highlighted “the work done” by the now former foreign minister. In addition, he said that this Monday Gustavo Manrique will take office, a decision that Holguín himself celebrated on social networks.
