From higher education, it is expected that areas such as Development, Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship are strongly integrated into the formative vision of the study programs, thus permeating the graduation profiles of these universities.
The academic vice-rector, Fernando Herrera Gallardo, was present at the launch of the project that took place on Wednesday, March 22, at the Huechuraba campus of the Universidad Mayor “It puts us at the forefront in these strategic areas, which will be incorporated formatively from the curricular in undergraduate and postgraduate training. This is driven by a transversal axis of gender perspective and linkage to the needs of the local productive sector,” said the vice-rector.

During the visit, the delegation from the different universities took a guided tour through various laboratories of the Huechuraba Campus, which houses the scientific and research work of the Universidad Mayor.
In parallel this year, the innovation projects in Higher Education (InEs) awarded in 2022 are executed through competitive funds from the National Agency for Research and Development ANID. From this call, the Vice-Rector for Research and Graduate Studies at the University of Atacama celebrated two important awards, InES Ciencia Abierta and INES Género. Both initiatives, based on their specific objectives, promote the installation of new knowledge and capacities for scientific development in the university community, incorporating the gender perspective.
