After the premiere of the anime and an update that added many new features, the open world video game was revived and managed to break new records on Steam and reach a new sales milestone. This resurgence has been reflected in the excellent financials that CDPR has achieved in recent months.

In a recent call with investors, Piotr Nielubowicz, CFO of CD Projekt RED, spoke about the Polish studio’s earnings in 2022. There, he revealed that they had their second best year thanks to the rebound they experienced cyberpunk 2077.
According to the information, CDPR generated approximately $222 million in revenue last year, which translates to around $81 million in net profit. This represents a 66% increase in net profit. This is very interesting, especially when we consider that there was no major release in that period.
The positive results are largely attributed to the resurgence of cyberpunk 2077. The Polish studio explained that sales increased immediately after the premiere of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and comments that they were maintained for a long time. In the presentation, she shared a graph showing the rise in positive reviews.
CD Projekt RED is currently working on the first and last expansion for the game Phantom Liberty. In addition, he already announced multiple projects of The Witcher and a sequel to the sci-fi open world title.
