Although AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 23.3.2 WHQL drivers already introduced support for the new edition remastered from The Last of Us for PC, Called The Last of Us Part 1, now AMD has released some new exclusive drivers with more optimizations for this game: the AMD Software Adrenalin Edition 22.40.43.05 for The Last of Us Part 1.
In the changes of the version we can see that the only novelty is the optimizations for that game, but there doesn’t seem to be any other novelty. Taking into account that there is a list with six known problems that these drivers can cause, We only recommend its installation if you plan to play The Last of Us Part 1.
Specifically, the list of known issues to AMD for these Adrenalin Edition 22.40.43.05 for The Last of Us Part 1 they range from high power consumption at idle on some Radeon RX 700s with certain high-resolution displays with high refresh rates, to performance reductions in VR games with the same graphics series.
They also point out that stuttering and performance drops could appear when playing videos on extended screens, as well as image corruption when switching between videos and games on graphics cards like the RX 6700 XT. Additionally, the mouse cursor in Citrix Workspace might disappear.
