Memory and storage solutions maker TeamGroup has announced its new T-Force Vulcan SSD Z and the MP33Q equipped with 3D QLC NAND memories.

The T-Force Vulcan Z reach capacities of up to 4 TB and the MP33Q 2 TB. However, beyond these differences, the main feature that makes them completely different ranges is that the Vulcan Z are 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, so their performance is very limited, staying at 550 MB/s reading. and 500 MB/s of writing, and they are more oriented to replace mechanical HDDs in gaming equipment. Its design is quite striking, considering how conventional SATA SSDs tend to be.

On the other hand, the TeamGroup MP33Q adopt the M.2 NVMe 1.3 standard, that is, with PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface, which means much higher speeds, staying at 2,500 MB/s of maximum sequential reading and 2,100 MB/s of speed Reading. It uses a cache system with SLC memories to speed up its performance, although it falls far short of the fastest NVMe 1.3 SSDs, and much further from the newer variants with NVMe 1.4 PCI Express 4.0 and NVME 2.0 with PCI Express 5.0.

They will arrive on the market in this upcoming month of April, although at the moment we do not know the prices.
