The In Tanta We Trust campaign serves as a prequel to the story of the main game and takes place 25 years before the events of Forspoken. “While searching for a way to rid Athia of the Rend once and for all, Frey ends up following a mysterious voice that guides her to a place where, without knowing how, she is transported to the Purge of the Rheddigs, the legendary battle that devastated these lands and ultimately made the thantas lose their minds,” reads the synopsis for In Tanta We Trust provided by Square Enix.
In her new adventure Frey will be accompanied by the thanta Cinta and will have at her disposal a new magical ability that will allow her to deploy new strategies in combat. The mission of our protagonist in In Tanta We Trust will consist of “getting answers and saving Athia once again, and also herself.”
Those hoping to see a trailer or screenshots of In Tanta We Trust will be left wanting. Square Enix has only provided the official synopsis, release date, and a artwork. To this information we can add that except for surprise, In Tanta We Trust will be the first and only additional content for Forspoken, a new intellectual property whose initial sales have not met Square Enix’s expectations. The reviews weren’t good either. The consequences have been paid by the development team Luminous Productions, which on May 1 will disappear to merge with the structure of the Japanese company.
