The PS5 DualSense technology caught the attention of many gamers. So some people believe that Xbox should compete with a similar controller, or at least with new technology and innovative features. Apparently, Microsoft has a secret project on its hands that could make this dream come true.
An Xbox patent has just come to light showing a peculiar touch screen control. This element would allow players to access custom settings and their social networks quickly and easily. Furthermore, it would let users track their performance in their favorite games.

Xbox could launch a controller with a screen and new features
According to the patent, the controller would have a touch screen in the central part. From there you could access configuration profiles, audio options and various tools such as social networks.
Also, it would display the remaining battery percentage, username, and other useful items. As if that were not enough, it would have an option so that players can measure their performance in some way. The patent indicates that the remote would have some kind of connectivity with mobile devices through a dedicated application.
This idea may sound familiar to you, as ASUS recently introduced an Xbox controller with an OLED screen. However, everything indicates that the patent refers to another project in the direct hands of Microsoft.
It is important to clarify that the company has not confirmed a project of this type and that patents do not always materialize. Despite this, it’s worth remembering that Phil Spencer praised the DualSense technology and suggested that Xbox could update its controller. Below you can see an image of the patent.
