One of the most popular manga of recent times is code geass, which has received different adaptations for anime series, movies, and plays. Now, it has just been confirmed that the saga will receive a new musical that will be released in Japan this year.
As you probably remember, fans of the franchise are still waiting for the Western release of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Lost Storiesa mobile and PC game that was released in the first half of 2022 on Japanese lands.
Now, a new project with Lelouch, CC, Kallen and Suzaku has just been unveiled that could divide the opinion of the community, since an official musical that will tell the story of the manga will arrive very soon.

As you could see, the confirmation of the musical was carried out during the panel at Anime Japan 2023 in code geasswhere some details of this adaptation that will star actor Kouji Kominami (Lelouch) and Ryotaro Akazawa (Suzaku) were shared.
“I’ve loved this series since I was a student, so I really want to act in it! I’ll do my best to make it a wonderful job!” Akazawa said on his social media.

It is worth mentioning that it is not the first time that Ichiro Okouchi’s manga will have a project of this type, since it had the play titled Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: Souran Eve in April 2012; a musical adaptation with Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion- Majin ni Sasageru Prelude in June 2012; and Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion: A-LIVE FANTASTIC DREAM SHOW in September 2013.
