The International Congress on “Open Government” will be held in the city of Concepción in Chile between April 26 and 28, and is organized by the University of Concepción and the Chilean Open Government Academic Network.
The event will feature thematic panels linked to the three fundamental axes of open government/State and both its inauguration and closing will be in charge of recognized exponents linked to Open Government. The inaugural talk will be given by the ILPES/ECLAC specialist, Ms. Alejandra Naserwho will present on “Open state in Latin America and the Caribbean: good practices, challenges and opportunities”.
The Congress aspires to become a meeting place between the Academy and the Public Sector, linked to Open Government and its implementation. Likewise, it is expected to generate capacities in young students in these subjects, which is why a series of free Workshops will be given, within which ILPES/CEPAL will give the Workshop “How to develop a citizen participation strategy”.
