March 24 () –
The British Intelligence services have affirmed this Friday that Russia would have redeployed “at least a thousand” soldiers in Ukraine after receiving training in Belarus and have highlighted that Moscow considers that Minsk’s “indirect support” for the invasion is “a political message important”.
“As of mid-March 2023, Russia has probably redeployed at least a thousand troops that have been receiving training at the Obuz-Lesnovski camp in southwestern Belarus,” they said, according to a series of messages published by the British Ministry of Defense through its account on the social network Twitter.
Thus, they have highlighted that “although no new troop rotations have been detected, Russia has most likely left the camp standing, which suggests that it is considering continuing with the training program.”
“The fact that Russia has resorted to training its personnel under the much less experienced Belarusian Army underscores how much the Russian ‘special military operation’ has affected the Russian Army’s training system, given that most of the instructors have been deployed in Ukraine”, they have riveted.
