March 15 (EUROPA PRESS) –
At least two people have died and eight others have been injured this Tuesday after a bomb attack in the Juzdar district, in the province of Balochistan, in western Pakistan.
The country’s Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has described the incident as terrorist and has specified that the bomb was attached to a vehicle and detonated by a remote device, as reported by the Pakistani newspaper ‘Dawn’.
Zardari also added that the government and the nation intend to eradicate terrorism, while noting that “those who attack innocent civilians have nothing to do with religion and cannot even be called human.”
On the other hand, the governor of Balochistan, Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo, has asserted that “the plot to destabilize the province by sowing terror and chaos will be frustrated.” He has also urged politicians to “stand united against terrorists.”
The region has had the presence of the BLA guerrilla since the 2000s, considered a terrorist organization by Pakistan, the United Kingdom or the United States. Since then it has waged a bloody struggle with the Islamabad authorities to achieve self-determination for Balochistan.
