Season 1 of the series The Last of Us came to an end and the last episode recreated one of the most emotional moments of the series. The team wanted to make it as realistic as possible that they decided not to use CGI in one of its most important elements.
SPOILER: next we will talk about a beautiful moment of The Last of Us which doesn’t have any plot details, but you might want to skip it to see it for yourself in the series.
Of course, we’re talking about the moment when Ellie and Joel encounter and interact with a giraffe.
This scene could not be missing from the TV series, so they decided to recreate it in a traditional way, so they used a real giraffe to record it instead of using CGI or computer animation.
“Yes, you can create a giraffe with special effects, but it’s not the same,” said Matt Palmer, location manager for episodes 8 and 9.
