Nintendo releases the final trailer for ‘Super Mario Bros.’ and invites us to live an incredible adventure full of color (and action)

Super Mario 2

The final trailer for ‘Super Mario Bros. The Movie’ is finally here. The images have been released in a Nintendo Direct especially dedicated to feature film. These invite us to immerse ourselves in a spectacular and colorful world, tremendously faithful to the aesthetics of video games, although full of adrenaline and action.

It all starts with Luigi locked in a hanging dungeon that swings on a huge torrent of lava. We then see Bowser rooting for his Goombas army. “We will destroy the Mushroom Kingdom,” the villain says as he closes in on his prized target. “Bowser is coming this way,” warns Princess Peach bravely in the face of the threat.

Color, action and the promise of being a great movie

The other characters also have a big role in the trailer. Our beloved plumber, Mario, increases in size after eating a mushroom and Donkey Kong uses the Fire Flower to enhance his abilities before embarking on a thrilling and destructive run in familiar settings from video games.

An important part of the trailer takes place on the Rainbow Road (known in English as Rainbow Road), where Mario, Princess Peach and their enemies race at full speed to avoid falling into the clutches of the evil invader Bowser. In short, a combination of pieces that make us look forward to the film.

As we say, Illumination seems to have done a great job maintaining the aesthetic fidelity of the video games, a very important element to catch fans of this franchise from the first moment and not fall into a mistake like Sega’s Sonicwhere the character had to be redesigned because the appearance did not enchant.

The series of 'The Last of Us' has aroused unprecedented interest: sales of the game for PS4 and PS5 have skyrocketed

The world premiere of ‘Super Mario Bros. The Movie’ will be on April 5. In Spain it can be seen exclusively in cinemas. We are getting closer to seeing first hand if the film lives up to what it promises, because it really promises a lot.
