ASUS Launches Chromebook C14 and C14 Flip with MediaTek Kompanio 520 CPU



ASUS has thrown out their new Chromebook CM14 and its convertible variant ASUS Chromebook CM14 Flip equipped with the new Kompanio 520 processors that MediaTek created precisely for this type of devices with chrome OS.

Both arrive with 14-inch TN screens and Full HD resolution, and the ASUS Chromebook CM14 Flip differs by having a 360-degree hinge that allows it to be used as a tablet or laptop, and also supports touch and stylus input. Its autonomy will be around 15 hours and they arrive with Chrome OS.

Both models feature up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of eMMC2 storage, as well as multiple USB-C, USB-A, HDMI ports, and a microSD card reader. Its keyboard is waterproof, being able to accidentally spill liquids without problems, it also has an antimicrobial coating for it and the trackpad.

The company has created these Chromebook CM14 with high resistance complying with the MIL-STD 810H standard, guaranteeing that the panel supports up to 25 kg of pressure without failure, up to 5,000 insertions of USB ports and other connectors, resistance to vibrations from 5 to 500 Hz for one hour and guaranteed operation at altitudes of more than 15,000 feet.

The new ASUS CM14 Chromebooks also include smart features to improve communication and security in educational or business environments. For example, they have Face Auto Exposure (Face AE), which automatically adjusts the brightness and contrast of the webcam based on the surrounding light conditions.

ASUS Chromebook CM14 still does not have a launch date or price for our country.
