Will there be a live event for Fortnite Chapter 4 – Season 2? Epic Games raises questions

The usual question Fortnite when we wait for the transition from one season to another: will there be any live events? This time, the situation is a bit confusing, because the community believes so, but the leaked information does not advance one bit of whether or not there will be a special event for the closure of Season 1 – Chapter 4.

The dataminers of Fortnite have noticed the absence of related files in the v23.50 update (the last of Season 1, so Epic Games does not have any live events mapped in the future.

In that sense, although a live event will probably be ruled out, Epic Games will use Rift Gate. Given recent events in history, the stakes are high.

Rift Gate will be the protagonist of the next season

Like the regular seasonal changes, Epic Games will provide cinematic videos to show how (if at all) Rift Gate will affect the upcoming season. It is widely speculated that the Formless Being (Geno) will come through the Rift Gate.

Since the device was sabotaged and the coordinates changed, he is the prime suspect. Also, considering that he is the one who appears in Warden Stellan’s dreams and haunts them, he has been instrumental in the creation of Rift Gate.

Although the cinematic videos may show Geno, he won’t be on the island until later in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, or later. From the sounds of it, Rift Gate and Warden Stellan have a role to play going forward. What that is will be revealed in a few days.

Thus, perhaps with the start of Season 2 of Chapter 4 of FortniteRift Gate has some purpose in the game and this is the event that marks the transition after the closure of Season 1. In the meantime, it only remains to wait for Epic Game to confirm the live event even if there is no clue of anything.
