SAN SALVADOR – Legislators from the official bench in Honduras, Libertad y Refundación (Libre) announced on Thursday the death of deputy Luis Amador, who was in Miami, United States receiving medical treatment.
“The Free Bank, with great pain, regrets the death of our fellow deputy, comrade in struggle, friend and leader Luis Amador”, public the match on his Twitter account.
The congressman, elected by the department of Olancho, in Honduras, suffered from cancer, a disease that forced him to seek treatment abroad.
Héctor Zelaya, private secretary to Honduran President Xiomara Castro, sent his condolences to the family. “The Lord give you strength in this difficult moment. Rest in peace dear Luis”, concluded his message.
Given the death of the legislator, the National Congress of that country agreed to decree three days of mourning without suspension of work.
