The Ukrainian Armed Forces have estimated this Thursday at more than 150,000 the number of Russian soldiers “liquidated” since the start of the invasion, including more than 700 during the last day of fighting, focused on the Donbas region (east), a figure much higher than that confirmed to date by Moscow.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Army has outlined in a message published on its official account on the Facebook social network that since the outbreak of the war, unleashed on February 24, 2022, 150,605 Russian soldiers have been “liquidated”, including 715 during the last 24 hours.
Likewise, it has stated that to date 3,397 battle tanks, 2,398 artillery systems, 247 anti-aircraft defense systems, 300 planes, 288 helicopters, 2,058 drones, 873 cruise missiles, 18 boats, 5,264 vehicles and fuel tanks have been destroyed. and 230 pieces of “special equipment.”
Russia has not provided data on casualties in the conflict since September, when Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu confirmed the deaths of 5,937 soldiers. The Russian news portal Mediazona raises the total number of deaths to 15,136 -including 1,043 during the last 15 days-, figures that it considers “corroborated” through publicly available data, a work carried out together with the British television channel BBC.
