Why was Ellie and Riley’s kiss censored from The Last of Us?
Most of the fans were able to see the beautiful and intimate moment between this couple, but unfortunately there were thousands of people who couldn’t because the service provider of the series censored it.
We are talking about Orbit Showtime Network (OSN) signal and streaming platform (OSN+) that offers service for North Africa and the Middle East.
The editing is so subtle that anyone who knew about the DLC wouldn’t have noticed the absence of the kiss unless they paid close attention and noticed that the dialogue was somewhat disjointed.

Fans were angered by the censorship of the lesbian kiss in The Last of Us
Many fans from this region took advantage of their social networks to express that something was missing from their episode and show their rejection.
“That’s what I get for not hacking” expressed a user disgusted by the censorship in the episode.
According to viewers in these regions, it is not the first time that this chain has removed LGBTQ content from movies or TV series, such as How to Get Away with Murder and House of the Dragon. What is striking is that OSN did not remove any scene from episode 3, which focused on Bill and Frank’s homosexual relationship.
The reasons why HBO or OSN decided to censor Ellie and Riley’s lesbian kiss in these regions are unknown.
