Lenovo regenerates the new ThinkPad Z13 and Z16 with sustainable materials and bezels that do not exceed 16 mm

Lenovo has presented this Monday its latest PC solutions to adopt hybrid work styles, which include a complete update of the entire ThinkPad range, with the Z13 and Z16 models, made with sustainable materials and featuring bezels that do not exceed 16 millimeters ( mm).

The company has unveiled its new products in the framework of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, ​​where it has also presented a redesigned fourth generation of ThinkPad X13 and X13 Yoga, as well as its fourth generation of ThinkPad T14s, T14 and the laptops. second generation T16, along with fourth generation ThinkPad L13, L13 Yoga, L14 and l15.

First, the manufacturer has highlighted the innovation of the latest generation of ThinkPad in design, performance and user experience. Both the ThinkPad Z13 Gen 2 and ThinkPad Z16 Gen 2 laptops are powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 7000 Series mobile processors with integrated AMD RadeonTM graphics, Windows 11 and can be configured with up to 64 GB of Dual Channel memory and up to 2 GB of PCIe SSD to support users to perform the most demanding tasks.

The smallest model, the ThinkPad Z13 Gen 2, features a new optional natural fiber reinforced material bonded to the 75 percent recycled aluminum top cover. Its design also highlights the thickness of its bezels, which do not reach 14 mm in the case of the Z13 and 16 in the case of the Z16.

These laptops also have a haptic touchpad located next to TrackPoint to generate precise inputs and, in addition, they come with a redesign of the menu cards, which can now be customized based on user preferences.

ThinkPad X13 Gen 4 and X13 Yoga Gen 4 have a weight of 1.14 kilos and 1.2 kilos, respectively, and work as WiFi 6E (with option to 4G LTE WWAN) and Bluetooth 5.1. In addition, they can be configured with Windows 11 Pro.

These models are powered by 13th generation Intel Core processors (with Intel VPro), as well as Intel Iris XE for graphics. The first of them, in addition, is also manufactured with AMD Ryzen 7000 and graphics from this brand.

ThinkPad X13 Gen 4 is equipped with a 13.3-inch 2.8K OLED panel, which reaches 400 nits of brightness and has an eye-care filter, while the other is touch-enabled and displays 100% gamut. RGB colors.

Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Gen 4 and L13 Yoga Gen 4 also offer a low-blue-light display option that is energy efficient and helps increase battery efficiency, while the latest L-series models, including the L14 Gen 4 and the L15 Gen 4 can be equipped with SSDs of up to 2TB, that is, twice the capacity of the previous generation.

The version for small and medium businesses is called the ThinkPad E14 gen 5 and the ThinkPad E16 16-inch. This family now incorporates screens with a 16:10 aspect ratio, with a screen/body ratio greater than 90 percent, and with a new keyboard and a larger 115mm ‘touchpad’.

THINKCENTRE TIO GEN5 MONITOR

The company has indicated that, for a more versatile experience, the Tiny-in-One (TIO) format of its ThinkCentre Gen 5 monitor is ideal, which offers an enhanced VoIP audiovisual experience through a webcam with a resolution of 1080p up-to-date, user-facing microphone and two speakers.

The three-sided FHD sRGB display is borderless and both monitors use natural low blue light technology to optimize eye comfort. In addition, they are available with a 10-point touch panel that also allows you to use the stylus.

These monitors feature a modular design, with a rear compartment with an integrated 3-in-1 connector port into which the Tiny desktop unit can be snapped in and out, sitting on the monitor without the need for cables.

Also new for this generation, the ThinkCentre TIO Gen 5 includes a rear HDMI port, as well as a DisplayPort, allowing expanded compatibility with up to two external computers, whether they are laptops, tower workstations, or desktops.

IDEAPAD DUET 3I

The IdeaPad Duet 3i offers an 11.5-inch 2K 100 percent DCI-P3 touchscreen that offers a vibrant color gamut and 400 nits of peak brightness. In addition, it has an 8 megapixel (MP) rear camera and a 5 MP front camera.

This other device mounts Intel Processor N100 and Intel Processor N200 processors. With LPDDR5 memory and 4GB or 8GB RAM configurations, it offers 128GB and 256GB internal storage.

Lenovo has commented that this panel is “perfect for students and multitasking professionals who need a versatile and portable device to carry and with which to work anywhere”, since it weighs 697 grams and is only 8.95 mm thick.

As for its autonomy, it offers up to eight and a half hours of battery life 6 with Rapid Charge Boost, which allows an additional two hours of use with a short 15-minute charge.

Finally, the new generation of Chromebook IdeaPad Slim 3 with MediaTek Kompanio 500 Series processor has a 14-inch panel, available with IPS FHD touch screen and weighs only 1.3 kilograms.

It also offers great autonomy, with 13.5 hours without charging, as well as WiFi 6 connectivity. It also has front-facing speakers tuned by Waves MaxxAudio, a full-featured Type-C port, an FHD webcam option with physical shutter and a specific mute key.

PRICES AND AVAILABILITY

The first devices to reach the global market will be the ThinkPad L13 and L13 Yoga, starting in April this year, with prices starting at 839 and 980 euros, respectively. Starting in May, the ThinkPad L14 and L15 will go on sale, starting at 775 euros and 755 euros in its most advanced configuration.

Also in May, the ChromeBook IdeaPad Slim 3 will begin to be sold, for 349 euros, while the IdePad Duet 3i will arrive in June, with prices starting at 449 euros.

ThinkPad Z13 Gen 2 will be available from July this year at a price of 1,649 euros, followed by the ThinkPad X13 Gen 4 (1,190 euros), ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen 4 (1,290 euros), also on sale in July .

The ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One (TIO) Gen 5 monitors will arrive in August, which will be available from 299 euros for the 22-inch model and from 399 euros for the 24-inch model. Also this month you can buy the ThinkPad Z16 Gen 2, with a price of 1,959 euros in its basic configuration.
