At least four people have died and 12 have been injured this Sunday by the explosion of what, in principle, appears to be a motorcycle bomb that has exploded in a market in the central Pakistani state of Balochistan, in the midst of a new wave of violence. in the country.
This explosion follows an increase in the activities of the Pakistani Taliban in the border regions with Afghanistan and, especially in this case, of Baloch separatist groups.
A month ago, an attack assumed by the country’s Taliban killed at least a hundred people in a Peshawar mosque and the fundamentalists have vowed to continue their armed campaign after the total break, in November last year, of negotiations with the government.
The explosion occurred specifically in the Rajni bazaar, in the town of Barjan, and has also caused significant material damage, police sources have reported to the Pakistani chain Geo TV.
The injured have been transferred to the Rajni and Dera Ghazi Jan hospitals with a reserved prognosis.
Balochistan’s Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudus Bizenjo has condemned the blast and ordered the authorities to take all possible measures to arrest the culprits. “Those who shed the blood of innocent people are enemies of humanity,” denounced the minister.
