The EU condemns the approval of more than 7,000 houses in settlements in the West Bank

The European Union has condemned this Friday the approval by Israel of more than 7,000 homes in “illegal” settlements in the West Bank and has warned that it is a “record” in terms of expansion compared to the previous two years.

The Higher Planning Council of the Civil Administration of Israel approved on the eve, as reported by the newspaper ‘Haaretz’, a plan to build 7,287 homes in settlements in the West Bank, which far exceeds those approved in the previous two years, with 4,427 in 2022 and 3,645 in 2021.
