The Russian Ministry of Defense has denounced this Sunday the shipment of containers with radioactive substances from a European country to Ukraine to prepare a “provocation”.

These radioactive products that would be entering the country without going through customs controls could be used to contaminate one of the areas controlled by the “Kiev regime”, Moscow has assured in a statement collected by the Russian news agency TASS.

The plan would be launched before the start of the special session of the UN General Assembly “to accuse the Russian Federation of breaching its obligations” under the Nuclear Safety Convention during its “special military operation”, as Moscow calls it. to the military invasion of Ukraine that began on February 24, 2021.

This “provocation” intends to “accuse the Russian Armed Forces” of “indiscriminate attacks” against Ukrainian nuclear facilities that would have caused a spill of radioactive materials and contaminated the area.
