Bloober Team has become a benchmark study in horror and suspense genre games. Lately he has given much to talk about thanks to his collaboration with Konami to bring back silent hillbut he is also working on the magna opera of Layers of Fearwhich changed its name and which already has a month of release.
The Polish studio revealed in 2021 that it was working on a new game of Layers of Fear. Months later he announced that more than a completely new game it would be a kind of definitive title that sought to reinvent horror and connect the first 2 installments. What happened with Layers of Fear? Is it a remake, a remaster or a new game?
You may remember that the title was advertised under the name Layers of Fearsplural, but in the end Bloober Team decided to stick with the original title of the series, Layers of Fearin singular.
However, the premise will not change, since it is a renewed version that will be based on Layers of Fear and Layers of Fear 2but with a new direction of the story and with new content that will mix all its parts evenly.
This version will also include all downloadable content, just like the original content. The Final Notewhich, as we told you, will address the history of the series from The Writer’s perspective and will serve to get to know this character and intertwine the lore in a better way.

Layers of Fear (2023) is made in Unreal Engine 5 and will feature ray tracing, HDR and 4K resolution; Likewise, it will use the Lumen system to offer “the most realistic and visceral horror experience”, so there is no doubt that it will be the magnum opus of the franchise.
With a new trailer, Bloober Team confirmed that the title will be available next June on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC (via Steam and Epic Games). Below you can see it.
