AMD releases the source code of FSR 2.2 so that any developer can implement it

The latest version of AMD’s upscaling system, FidelityFX Super Resolution or FSR is 2.2. We’ve already seen games like F1 2022 support this technology, among others, and upgrading games that support FSR 2.0 and FSR 2.1 to the new version should be easy as you’re adding support for graphics engines like Unreal Engine.

Now, AMD has released the full source code for FSR 2.2, which means that any developer will be able to implement it in their game, since until now it was only available to certain companies that collaborated with AMD in the development and improvement of the technology.

One of the improvements of FSR 2.2 is the reduction of Ghosting which can appear on objects that move at high speed in the scene, something that affects fast-paced games such as shooters or racing games.
