Huawei has incorporated new functions in the last beta update of Petal Mapswhich will show notifications with the price of gasoline, will allow you to react to reviews and will remind you when it is time to get off if you are traveling on public transport.
The Huawei map application increasingly incorporates more functions with which the Chinese company intends toport more facilities and improve the user experienceSo consider Petal Maps as your first choice for GPS and mapping services.
In this sense, Petal Maps has implemented multiple novelties to your ‘app’ in the version 3.3.0.205(002) betawhich includes, among other features, the ability to view real-time notifications about gasoline prices lower in close surroundings.
To do this, when you search for gas stations in a specific area, Petal Maps will show the gasoline price in a sandwich located above each service station located on the map. This function is not available in some countries, but it is in Spain. In addition, the price information will be updated in real time.
It also includes the option to react to reviewswith which users can ‘Like’ comments and respond to other reviews of the place or venue in question.
Another novelty is the possibility of receive a notice when the user is approaching the stop where his trip ends. That is, within the indications for public transport that Petal Maps offers, which includes the route, the stops and the schedules, the ‘app’ allows users to receive a notification or warning when they have only one stop left for their destination.
The warning, which is optional, may be by vibration or notification alert and will alert the user to prepare to exit the bus, subway or train.
On the other hand, Huawei’s map services application has also implemented the 3D globe view. Now when you zoom out of the map far enough you can see the entire globe, both in satellite view as in normal map view.
Following this line, another novelty is that Petal Maps offers information about the GPS satellites that are in the area. This function provides information about which satellites are visible, how many are available and how many are there in totalEven which user is connected. In fact, it even shows the position and location where the satellites are located.
On the other hand, Huawei has also incorporated the route warning function which, as its name indicates, informs about incidents on the road in real time. Besides, allows the user to include notices so that other users take them into account. To add notices, users will need to log in to Petal Maps and will be able to report road closures, accidents, speed limits, or police presence.
Finally, the Petal Maps update includes a function to measure distances, perimeters and surfaces of an area. Users will be able to create points during a measurement, as could already be done to measure distances. However, now they will be able to connect the last point with the first marked to enclose an area and be able to measure the perimeter and area.
These novelties can already be tested by users through the download from the last update in apk mirror. However, these are still functions under test.
