It’s been a while since we could see the new memory modules with unusual capacities of 24 and 48 GB. Although it seems that these capabilities will soon begin to form part of the usual given the support they are receiving on motherboards from major manufacturers. First it was MSI announcing support for these capabilities, now GIGABYTE addswhich has announced that its Intel 600 and 700 series chipset DDR5 memory boards are compatible with 24 and 48 GB modules.
No need for a BIOS updatein these GIGABYTE models you can now add RAM modules with this unusual ability. This has also allowed increase maximum support from memory until 192 GB on boards with 4 slots available and up to 96 GB on those with two slots. In addition, you can opt for a maximum speed of up to 7,000 MHz with XMP profiles when we use two of these new 24 GB modules.
With these new highs and RAM capacities, some users will be able to take advantage of more RAM than is sometimes required for some tasks. Not needing any update, you will simply have to replace the current ones or add them in your new configuration to enjoy a new maximum that increases by 64 GB plus the previous 128 GB.
