realme presents the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition, which debuts the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip and 100W charging support

realme has presented its new flagship of the GT series, the realme ‘smartphone’ GT2 Master Explorer Editiona terminal that presents the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and 100W fast charging support for the first time in the brand.

The Chinese company announced a few days ago through the Weibo social network that this Tuesday it would present this device, which would succeed the previously presented realme GT 2 Master Explorer and realme GT Explorer Edition.

As indicated by the company, this device has a special rigid design created by the fashion designer Jae-jung beige, with a sturdy cover, metal rivets on the corners –which are rounded– and ecological recycled leather. The standard version, on the other hand, comes in the same format, although without the rivets, in two colours, black and white.

It is made with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with HDR10+ certification. This one, in which it comes integrated fingerprint sensorIt offers a refresh rate of 120Hz, a simultaneous sampling rate of 1000Hz and very narrow bezels (1.84 mm on the top, 2.37 mm on the bottom and 1.48 mm on both sides).

realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition mounts a processor Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 of Qualcomm of 4 nanometers (nm), capable of increasing in 10 percent CPU performance level and reduce CPU and GPU power consumption by 30 percent.

It also uses LPDDR5x UFS 3.1 RAM memory, which reduces power consumption compared to the previous generation, and features a cooling system to prevent the terminal from overheating, which occupies a density of 4,811 mm.

One of the highlights of this new realme release, which is light (195 grams) and thin (8.17 mm), is the charging capacity of its 5,000 mAh battery, which It comes with 100W fast charging. Thanks to it, it can be fully charged in 25 minutes.


In the photographic section, the mobile has a HyperShot image architecture and has a rear camera made up of three lenses integrated into a rectangular module.

The main lens is 50 megapixels (MP), has an optical image stabilization system (OIS) and integrates a sensor Sony IMX766. Next, there is the 50MP ultra wide angle lens, with an angle of 150º, as well as another 2MP microscope lens with a 40x zoom. The selfie camera, meanwhile, is 16MP.

The device is also equipped with dual high-resolution Dolby Atmos speakers, X-axis linear motor, dual-frequency GPS and NFC system with 360º omnidirectional detection.

realme has announced that its new flagship comes in three versions. The first, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, followed by the one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage and another with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM.

This mobile has already been put up for pre-sale and will be officially available from July 19 for a price of 3,499 yuan (about 517 euros at the current exchange rate) in the case of the basic configuration.

The version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM reaches 3,799 yuan (about 563 euros) and the next, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, 3,999 yuan (about 592 euros). At the moment, the company has not anticipated if this device will reach other markets besides Chinese.
