Samsung will allow several of its terminals to be powered by USB without charging the battery

With the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23, a new feature seems to have attracted attention, and that is that with the name “Pause USB Power Delivery”, This feature reaches several Samsung terminals in order to reduce the temperatures of the terminal when it is connected to a charger and we are playing.

Specifically, this will allow owners of a Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy A73 5G, or Z Fold 2/3/4, pause the loading of the terminal completely, feeding it completely from the USB port as long as it is connected to a USB-PD compatible charger.

This will mean that, instead of playing and charging the battery simultaneously, with the overheating that this entails, we can disable the battery charge, thus reducing its temperature and extending its useful life. This is something that many users consider important when it comes to prolonging the life of their terminal. not daring to compromise its water resistance with a disassembly.

It should be noted that to use this feature we will have to have at least a 20% charge in the terminal’s battery, so that, if we are below minimums, maybe it’s smarter to let the battery charge for a while so you can finish getting through the day.
