Microsoft plans to bring AI technology from its chatbot to Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Microsoft presented at the beginning of the week the integration of OpenAI’s ChatGPT chatbot technology in its Edge browser and its Bing search engine, and it is already preparing the extension of this technology to its productivity solutions.

The company is finalizing the deployment of the OpenAI technology and the Prometheus model in the Office apps like Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook and in Teams, a novelty that he plans to detail in the coming weeks, as sources close to these plans have indicated to The Vergeand collected Europa Press.

This is the same technology that will power the new versions of Bing and Edge, and will allow you to add enhanced features with “Fuller” responses, a new chat experience, and the ability to generate content.

The technology company already allows you to try the new Bing search engine as a limited desktop preview, which gives access to several preset queries such as creating a three-course menu or writing a poem.
