Galaxy S23 Ultra: the taste for photos of the Moon is real

Space Zoom 100X.jpg

The attraction of taking pictures of the Moon

During the presentation of this new family, much was said about their ability to take night photos of the stars and their ability to portray them clearly, so one of the tests that had to be done during their evaluation was exactly this, to determine how impressive or not is taking pictures of the Moon and even how his “Astro Hyperlapse” works.

The most direct conclusion is that the ‘hype’ or fuss that exists around these functions is real, the possibility of being able to use a 100X ‘space zoom’ to capture the Moon is something that shows the power of this lens and that well It can be used for other occasions, not just to look up at the sky, so much so that even Elon Musk expressed his opinion about it.

While the ‘Astro Hyperlapse’ part, although it is also a very cool and working function, is probably used less often, but it is an interesting mode to try since you even have a guide to the constellations.

Now, in automatic mode, this camera presents photos with little noise and good lighting, taking into account that they are photos taken with 12MP as a rule, although the 200 MP can be used. The only thing that I have noticed during the camera test is that the final result of the photograph is obtained once the shot is taken and not at the moment of seeing the screen.

Night photography is also very good, with enough light to still be able to determine the details that make up the scene, this being a strong point and a commitment from Samsung. This means that what the brand promised in terms of improving its sensors and processing is real, now with more natural images, with less noise.

Now in terms of the Expert RAW, it is capable of capturing a lot of information to later work on it within the Lightroom app, however, I think it can do a bit of correction on the textures. This mode, which is a separate app that is now part of the camera functions, will surely be more exploited by experts in photography and cinematography than by an amateur like me.
