“The Super Mario Bros. Movie” Shares New Poster Featuring Mario Kart Scene

Video games are in fashion. The gaming industry was not stopped by the coronavirus and now serves as an inspiration for film adaptations. We have already seen in recent years important premieres such as “Detective Pikachu” and “Sonic the Hedgehog”, and in 2023 the animated film “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”.

As it has been possible to see in the first advances, the film will be inspired by the classic platform games for the creation of the scenarios. For example, the Mushroom Kingdom will have pipes that serve as transportation for the inhabitants.

The penguins that inhabit the frozen areas also have their own castle, king and social organization. At least until Bowser, the movie’s great villain, attacks. The objective of this character is to gather all the stars of the kingdoms.

Mario and Luigi will be summoned by Princess Peach in order to stop the classic villain’s plans. Of course, it will not be a war between kingdoms, but game mechanics will be used to advance the plot.

We will see some elements of video games in the movie “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”, such as the frenetic races of Mario Kart, specifically on the rainbow stage.
