The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, confirmed on Wednesday the visit of his American counterpart, Joe Biden, to Central Europe by the end of February, after the head of the White House spoke on Monday of going to Poland.
“Of course we await President Biden’s visit for the simple reason that it has been announced,” Duda said during a joint press conference with Latvian President Egils Levits in Riga, the capital of the Baltic country.
For Duda, the visit of the head of the White House “at a time as difficult” as the current one, with a war in the middle and “so close to hostilities”, is a gesture of “great value” that strengthens the security of the region”, reports the Polish news agency PAP.
