Normally video games come out, they sell a lot of copies and their popularity in the market stagnates. After this point, the companies offer discounts or new attractive packages so that the sales figures rise again. This is why it comes as little surprise that Nintendo has released new game packs. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Y Animal Crossing: New Horizons; however, they won’t make much sense to some consumers.
Through social networks, Nintendo announced new packages for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Y Animal Crossing: New Horizons. These are bundles that will be offered in the eShop and that will include the base game, as well as access to all its content available so far.
That is, in the case of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe includes tracks from Booster Course Passs, while in that of Animal Crossing includes the content of Happy Home Paradise. With this, they become the most complete versions of both titles.

New bundles for Switch without much sense for the consumer
However, these are packages that do not make much sense, the reason? They cost exactly the same as buying the game at full price and the DLC separately.
So much Animal Crossing: New Horizons What Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are offered for $59.99 USD ($1,399 MXN in Mexico), while downloadable content is sold for $24.99 USD ($596 MXN). If you add both amounts you will get $84.98 USD ($1992 MXN), just what the new packages cost.
Thus, buying these packages will not represent any monetary savings for consumers (unless of course you take the saying “time is money” very seriously). On the other hand, since it is not offered physically, it is not an opportunity to have a complete version of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe either Animal Crossing: New Horizons in cartridge.
It’s still easy to see why Nintendo is doing this. After all, Nintendo Switch is the most popular current console and games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe they continue to sell better than many new releases. So this is not a way to revitalize sales of your games; rather, it is a way of making visible that the DLC exists and selling it to new users.
