Ubisoft has been planning for a few days a server closure that will affect several titles of the companyand among which, two have appeared without prior notice that have been known today and that join a third that can no longer be purchased, and that after the deactivation of their servers, they cannot be played in any way.
These titles are Space Junkies, Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic and Assassin’s Creed Liberation HDthree titles that, following the generous trend of requiring an internet connection to even work, will see how they will no longer be accessible after the servers are closed, even when at least the latter has an offline campaign.
Likewise, users who already had the purchased title will not be able to download and install it either, as we can see in a Ubisoft support articlesomething to which many other games join, so it’s generally an extremely anti-consumer practice that will make the company quite a few enemies.
These changes will be effective from September 1 this yearso affected players have until then to download a copy of the games if they want them, and say goodbye.
