Orange has a new CEO in Spain: the operator restructures its management leadership

An increasingly concentrated market: the merger of Orange and MásMóvil is the beginning of the end of the price war

Orange will have important changes in the board of directors of two of its main markets starting next April. The group has announced the appointment of ludovic pech as the new CEO of Orange Spain as of that month, as well as the leadership of Jean Francois Fallacher as CEO of Orange France from the same date.

Change of directives in Orange

In March 2022 the start of negotiations between Orange Spain and the MásMóvil Group, finalizing in the month of July with a joint valuation of 18,600 million euros. Despite the fact that the joint venture is expected to close in the second half of 2023, at the end of last year the new board of directors.

The group now announces the official changes within the Spanish and French divisions. Ludovic Pech, current CFO of Orange Middle East & Africa, will take over as CEO at Orange Spain. The change will take effect in April of this year. Pech has been present at Orange since 1994, assuming his current position since 2016.

Jean-François Fallacher, who for some time now has been the CEO of Orange Spain, will assume the leadership of the French division, becoming effective his position as CEO of Orange France also in April 2023.

Everything indicates that the joint venture will have as CEO Meinrad Spenger, current CEO of MásMóvil. The merger is already under analysis by the European Commission, awaiting the closing of the operation throughout the second half of the year.
