The study 343 Industries has confirmed the sequel to the Halo video game franchise, as part of the announcement of thousands of layoffs at Xbox’s parent company, Microsoft due to economic forecasts.
343 Industries is one of the development studios that work under the Xbox Games Studios umbrella, owned by Microsoft, which last week announced the cut of some 10,000 jobs, just under 5 percent of its workforce, due to conditions macroeconomics.
The person in charge of the study Pierre Hintze, has shared through Halo’s official Twitter profile that this franchise will not disappear. “343 Industries will continue to develop Halo now and in the future, including epic storylines, multiplayer, and more of what makes Halo great“.

Another video game company that has recently shared its new launch strategy to deal with the current situation is Ubisoftwhich reported the cancellation of three other projects in development yet to be announced, including Project Q, which was to offer a variety of player-versus-player modes.
