Dozens of bandits kill two people and kidnap another twenty in the Nigerian capital

June 25. (EUROPA PRESS) –

An assault by dozens of “bandits” — armed groups specializing in kidnapping — has killed two people and kidnapped 22 others in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, Nigerian police have confirmed.

The gunmen reportedly raided farms in Rafin Daji, a farming community in the Abaji area council, taking men, women and children onto their farmland.

The incident occurred on Wednesday but has not transpired until this Saturday, according to the newspaper ‘Premium times’.

Among the kidnapped there are 13 members of the same family, according to a relative, who accuses the Fulani ethnic group of having carried out the attack.

The kidnappers have demanded ransom for the release of the victims, according to the relative.
