Study confirms that there is still interest in creating games for Nintendo Switch

Is there a Switch for a while?

Over the past few days there have been some rumors suggesting that the end of the Nintendo Switch is near. However, there is other news that contrasts with this information and suggests that this is still a long way to go. A good example is a new survey carried out by the Games Developers Conference, where it was confirmed that a third of developers still want to work with the hybrid.

As you surely remember, Nintendo Switch is about to celebrate 6 years on the market and it seems that it still has time as the company’s current platform.

Now, it has just been revealed that there are several developers who still want to work on the console, so at least 35% of them showed interest in such a task, according to the GDC survey.

As you could see, Nintendo Switch is only behind PlayStation 5 (46%) and PC (64%), but it surpasses Xbox Series X (33%) and the other consoles of the last generation, so it is still a hardware profitable.

On the other hand, extra data collected by the Game Developers Conference confirmed that 18% of developers are already working on a new title for the Nintendo platform, a situation that would suggest that there is still time before the successor to the Switch is available.
