The Ibex 35 has registered a negative day this Thursday with a fall of 1.57%, so that the selective of the Spanish markets has been located at 8,793.1 points, with the majority of values falling back.
The decrease occurred on the day in which Bankinter gave the ‘starting gun’ to the season of business results with a net profit of 560.2 million euros, 28.1% more than in the previous year.
On the other hand, at the European level, the president of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde, has warned that inflation in the euro zone is still too high, so the institution will maintain its course of monetary tightening.
Only three stocks closed the day positively: Enagás (+0.42%), Red Eléctrica (+0.24%) and Iberdrola (+0.05%). Among the rest of the listed companies in the selective, the worst stop was Fluidra, with (-3.89%), followed by Arcelormittal (-3.41%), Bankinter (-2.90%) and Banco Santander (- 2.78%).
In the rest of the European markets, the German Dax fell 1.72% this Thursday, while the French CAC 40 fell 1.86% and the Italian FTSE MIB fell 1.75%. Thus, the Euro Stoxx 50 dropped 1.92% on the day, while the British FTSE 100 fell 1.07%.
Regarding raw materials, a barrel of Brent has advanced this Thursday by 1.15%, up to 85.98 dollars, while the West Texas Intermediate has stood at 80.25 dollars, 0.97% more.
In the debt market, the risk premium closed this Thursday at 92.7 basis points, from 94 integers on Wednesday, while in the foreign exchange market, the cross of the euro against the dollar reached the close of the session the 1.0819 dollars, compared to the 1.0809 of the opening.
