The Mexican avocado looks for a 'touchdown' during Super Bowl LVII

Mexico seeks to break its record in avocado shipments to the United States and Michoacán has already sent the first 64,100 tons of this fruit.

The goal is to export more than 130,000 tons this season of NFL games that concludes with the Super Bowl on February 12.

The Mexican avocado is the leader in production and export worldwide with 1.6 million tons. Mexico exports avocado to 34 countries.

Michoacán and Jalisco stand out for being the only States that can export to the United States, in addition to Canada, Japan, among others, according to the Association of Avocado Exporters Producers and Packers of Mexico (APEAM).

Today the Super Bowl is the number one occasion when avocados and guacamole are served and prepared.
