In an interview with Portafolio, Edwin Lota, director of Mobility at Sodexo, told in detail how Wizeo platform of the firm has arrived to transform the way in which it operates internally processes in logistics companies; improving the relationship between drivers and companies.

What advantages over the traditional mechanism does a TMS (Transportation Management System) platform bring?

Wizeo is a high traceability, technology and security platform to manage and administer the entire mobility ecosystem of an organization in real time.
With this alternative, transport fleets avoid handling cash, which allows companies to monitor their expenses, avoiding manual processes that can translate into excess costs.

Likewise, companies can now enable, authorize, manage, administer the entire mobility ecosystem of the organization, such as checking service stations, fuel prices and balances. Likewise, approve additional consumption and supplies.

In our case, the companies have a mobile application on the platform where the fleet manager can operate the system from a cell phone, activate, block or make changes to the operation in real time.

For their part, drivers also have access to the App, which allows them to check available service stations, prices, balances and routes.

Data to analyze the costs generated by vehicle, kilometers traveled and costing of the fleet in real time, in a single point.

All of the above is managed through a platform that seeks to eliminate fraud, optimize costs and that companies manage to save and increase their profitability.

How much can the cost reductions for companies be?

There are companies that have hired Wizeo and have had savings of 20%, 15% and 10%, that depends a lot on the state of the maturation of their fleet and the digital transformation that each of the clients has, this has a substantial impact.

The specific relationship between Sodexo and Wizeo is that the Wizeo platform is a high traceability, technology and security platform to manage and administer the entire mobility ecosystem of an organization in real time. This is developed by Sodexo.

What is the function of the card?

The Wizeo card is the means to carry out the management and control of vehicle fuel costs.

The transport fleets, being Wizeo clients, automatically become creditors of the cards, the client charges the value to the plastic associated with the vehicle and from there they can begin to control.

Our cards can be used at the Service Stations linked to our network and are used by passing them through the station’s dataphone, in a very easy and user-friendly way.

How many companies, drivers have affiliates and/or registered?

We currently have more than 400 different clients and we work with more than 8,000 vehicles throughout the country.

What are the growth targets for 2023?

We have been growing between 40% and 50% year after year, through our portfolio and we hope that in 2023 we will continue with the same trend.

Where can the service be found?

Wizeo has nationwide coverage, this through the largest control network in the country that has 1,090 stations, including in border areas, La Guajira, Amazonas and the island of San Andrés and other places in Colombia.

How many points do you expect to have in 2023?

For this year, we hope to grow 100 service stations in the national territory.
The expansion strategy is focused on the needs of our clients throughout the country.

Today, with the alliance with Primax, we have the largest control coverage in the country. However, we are aware that Colombia is a country of regions and we must cover the areas that all our clients require.

Today, a Wizeo client can live the same experience from La Guajira to the Amazon and we can say that we connect the transporters throughout the country under the same control network, and we want to cover every space in which we are not yet geographically present in Colombia.
